8 Lions Signs MOU with China Media Group

8 Lions Entertainment has signed an MOU with China Media Group to collaborate on developing kids’ and family IP that can travel the globe.

“U.K. animation is a globally competitive sector built on strong intellectual property, skilled talent and an outward-facing approach to partnership,” said Kate O’Connor, executive chair of Animation UK.

The MOU supports an initial exchange of ideas around how stories rooted in different traditions might be developed for an increasingly connected global generation.

“This MOU hopes to build a new model for global kids’ storytelling—a coming together of British creative excellence and China’s extraordinary cultural heritage,” commented Jiella Esmat, founder and CEO of 8 Lions Entertainment.
