The Floor Expands into Italy

An adaptation of Talpa’s quiz show The Floor has been commissioned by Rai 2 in Italy, with Blu Yazmine producing.

The format sees 100 quiz fanatics face off in duels on a giant LED floor divided into 100 equal squares that each represent different categories, including famous athletes, Hollywood actors, iconic buildings and mammals. The ultimate goal is to conquer the entire floor and take home €100,000.

The format launched in January this year in the Netherlands on RTL4. It was commissioned for a second season after its debut season earned an average market share of 21 percent in the 20-49 demo. Since then, adaptations have been commissioned in France, Spain, Romania, Germany and the U.S.
