Telefe’s The Man of Your Dreams Lands Spanish Adaptation

BUENOS AIRES: The Argentine series The Man of Your Dreams is set to be adapted for Spanish audiences, with Televisión Española (TVE) slated to air it in January.

DLO will produce the new version, which will air on TVE in prime time. The series is a dramedy about an unemployed single father who meets single women through a matchmaking service where he works. Each episode features a special guest star, with the stories beginning and ending in the same chapter.

Oscar-winner Juan José Campanella wrote and directed the original series for Argentina’s Telefe. International distribution of the format is also handled by Telefe.

The original show has aired in Finland, Panama, El Salvador, Nicaragua, the U.S. Hispanic market, Puerto Rico, Peru, and on HBO Latin America, while its format has been distributed to Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Brazil. It has also been optioned in Italy, Turkey and the MENA region.
