Viacom International Studios Americas has sold the scripted format Sres. Papis (Dear Daddies) to Prva Televizija in Serbia.

Sres. Papis centers on four parents who meet each other at their kids’ school and become friends and addresses such topics as friendship and parenthood in modern times. Production on the Serbian version of the series will begin this year, with the premiere slated for the first quarter of 2020.

Sres. Papis has previously sold into 15 other countries, including Chile, Mexico, Peru, Slovakia, Ukraine and markets in the Middle East, and was recently optioned in the Republic of Bulgaria, Germany, Russia and Romania. It first premiered in Argentina on Telefe in 2014.

Katarina Pavlovic, program director at Prva TV, said: “Based on the success of our local version of Graduados, we feel confident that format Dear Daddies will take us even further in terms of ratings and audience affinity. Prva TV is a family-skewed channel and a format like Dear Daddies is perfect for getting all generations in front of the TV set, with relatable characters, good humor and just enough drama.”

Maria del Rosario Cosentino, content sales manager of Viacom International Media Networks Americas, added: “We are proud that Prva Serbia has trusted us once again after the success of Graduados. We are fully confident that they will do an excellent job with Sres. Papis, which will allow us to continue to position this great story on a global level.”
