All3Media International has licensed the rights for Studio Lambert’s British reality series Rise and Fall to Banijay Asia to produce an Indian adaptation for Amazon MX Player.
Produced locally by Banijay Asia, the show will push the boundaries of reality TV by showcasing power dynamics, emotional depth and real-time transformations. Ashneer Grover will host.
Rise and Fall was originally created in the U.K. by Studio Lambert for Channel 4. It follows a group of contestants representing diverse sections of society who gather in an iconic skyscraper. They are split into two groups: Rulers and Workers, with a cash prize that starts at zero and only builds if tasks, overseen by the Rulers, are successfully completed by the Workers. In a dramatic twist, power is never permanent, so Workers can rise to become Rulers, and Rulers fall to take up the role of Workers.
The series is set to stream on Amazon MX Player, Amazon’s free video streaming service. Previous Banijay Asia productions for Amazon MX Player include Campus Beats, which ran for four seasons, and Mohrey.
