Prime Video’s new competition series Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge will be hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housley (Sister, Sister; Tia and Tamera).

The series sees America’s best bakers use their imaginations to craft towering sweets inspired by beloved Dr. Seuss characters from The Grinch to The Cat in the Hat. Pastry chefs Clarice Lam and Joshua John Russell will judge them based on taste, creativity and storytelling.

Lam studied at The French Culinary Institute and graduated with a grand diplôme in classic pastry arts. In 2012, she opened Brooklyn-based The Baking Bean, a direct-to-consumer bakery specializing in all-natural, seasonal desserts and confections. In 2020, she put The Baking Bean on hold and joined Rivers and Hills Hospitality Group as the opening pastry chef for Kimika, an Italian-Japanese restaurant in Nolita.

Russell began his career as a pastry chef at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina. He appeared on 15 episodes of Food Network Challenge, winning five of them, and all six episodes of Last Cake Standing. His work has been featured in a variety of publications. Currently, he works as a corporate pastry chef for Irca in Atlanta and hosts You’ve Been Deserted.

Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge is produced by Amazon Studios, Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Super Delicious. Showrunner Ruth Amsel serves as executive producer alongside Cara Tapper, Adam Cohen and Joanna Vernetti from Super Delicious. Susan Brandt, president and CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, will also executive produce.
