Paradise Hotel Celebrates Two-Decade Run

The reality format Paradise Hotel is ringing in its 20th anniversary.

The show originally premiered in 2003. The competition series follows 11 singles as they enter a luxurious hotel with the objective of finding a partner and staying in paradise the longest.

This year also sees a brand-new season of Paradise Hotel in Denmark, the first country to launch the format outside the U.S. The format launched in the country in 2005 and has been broadcasting since.

Alongside Denmark, four more seasons of the Passion Distribution format have aired across Europe this year, including in Poland (TVN7) and Hungary (RTL/RTL+), alongside Sweden and Norway (Viaplay).

Chris Brogden, managing director of Mentorn Media, the production company who originated Paradise Hotel, commented, “It’s so great to see Paradise Hotel continuing to delight audiences around the world. It’s an enduring format that has moved with the times, so it’s still relevant and popular after all these years.”
