NBC Renews Weakest Link

NBC has renewed the game show Weakest Link, hosted by Jane Lynch, for a third season.

Weakest Link is co-produced by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions and Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group. Based on the British format distributed by BBC Studios, the U.S. version’s new season is set to begin production this fall.

Over the past two decades, Weakest Link has been produced in 46 territories around the globe, with more than 1,500 episodes having aired in the U.K. alone.

Lynch, who also executive produces Weakest Link, said: “I’m very much looking forward to a third season of mocking contestants and encouraging discord.”
