TEL AVIV: Second seasons of Master Class and Rising Star, talent-show formats from the Keshet International catalogue, are slated to begin airing next year in China and Indonesia, respectively.

Chinese producer 3C Media has ordered a 12-episode sophomore season of the children's musical competition Master Class, which is due to debut early next year on the satellite channels Beijing Satellite TV and Yunnan TV. Both finished seasons of Master Class China have also been licensed to the digital network Singtel in Singapore. Meanwhile, Indonesian broadcaster and producer RCTI has ordered another 24 episodes of the interactive talent format Rising Star for broadcast in winter 2016/2017.

Tao XU, channel controller at Beijing Satellite TV, stated: "Master Class is not only a class of music, but also a class of knowledge and life experience. This show brings our audience all kinds of good, innocent and beautiful feelings, which is exactly what Beijing Satellite TV wants to bring to the public."

Keren Shahar, the managing director for distribution at Keshet International, added: "Bringing two of our flagship talent shows to air in Asia was a milestone for us, seeing them bring in consistently solid audiences for our production and broadcast partners resulting in another season is even more gratifying."
