MGM Worldwide Distribution and Televisa have teamed up to bring local versions of TKO: Total Knockout to Latin America.

As part of the agreement, Televisa will produce 24 episodes of the obstacle competition show. Televisa will also be MGM’s production partner, designing and operating a production hub that will service local versions throughout the rest of Latin America and globally.

At NATPE, MGM is presenting the format for other countries to produce at Televisa’s hub.

Chris Ottinger, MGM’s president of worldwide television distribution and acquisitions, said: “We are honored to partner with a world-renowned firm such as Televisa for MGM’s first-ever production hub. The hub solution allows us to produce TKO on par with CBS’s U.S. network standards, but at a much more affordable price point for international broadcasters. Televisa’s best-in-class production capability, plus their leading ability to influence buying trends in the rest of Latin America, made them our first choice.”

Eduardo Clemesha, Televisa’s VP of entertainment, said: “We are delighted to partner with MGM to bring TKO to TV screens in Latin America. The show is hilarious and perfect for the entire family to watch together. It will fit in seamlessly with our current programming lineup in Mexico.”
