ITVS GE Taps Endemol Shine Alum to Lead Global Format Sales

ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) has strengthened its formats team with the appointment of Pascal Dalton, formerly of Endemol Shine Group, as the VP of global format sales.

In his new role, Dalton will be responsible for ITVS GE’s worldwide formats strategy, including building on the company’s current production partners and identifying new opportunities internationally. Dalton previously served as regional sales director at Endemol Shine Group, where he was in charge of licensing scripted and non-scripted formats, as well as ancillary content from the company’s IP, across more than 20 markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

Additionally, Ella Umansky has been promoted to the post of head of formats support at ITV Studios. Umansky joined ITV Studios in 2013. In her new position, she will work alongside Dalton to help support the productions created by format sales. She will also run the team that manages the flow of information on new formats, including consultancies, marketing information and sales support materials, throughout the ITV network of companies.

Both Dalton and Umansky will report to Mike Beale, the managing director for the Nordics and global creative network at ITV Studios. Beale commented, “Pascal’s appointment is an important step for our formats strategy. It will allow us to really build on our collaborative potential worldwide and, together with Ella, will ensure that our creative teams are aligned with our distribution approach and vice versa.

“We need a constant dialogue with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that the formats sold are properly supported and given the best opportunity for success, and this new setup will help us to facilitate it.”

Dalton added, “ITV Studios Global Entertainment has been a company I have often admired from afar. I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the team at what is an exciting time for the organization. I am looking forward to working collaboratively with ITVS GE’s key production partners and building on the existing successes across its international format distribution.”
