Gogglebox Commissioned in South Africa

LONDON: The Studio Lambert format Gogglebox has been licensed by all3media international into South Africa.

Sony Pictures Television South Africa commissioned a 10×1-hour local version. The series will be produced locally by Eject Media and Picture Tree. The local treatment is scheduled to debut in early 2016 on Sony Channel.

Gogglebox has also been optioned for French-speaking Africa by producer De Père En Fils Prods, as part of a package of formats, including the game show Cash Cab, the family quiz Cash At Your Door and Are You Normal?

Further new options in the region include the prime-time game-show format The Cube to Media Vision in Nigeria, and Undercover Boss to The Televisionaires in South Africa. The game show Cash Mob has been optioned by Rapid Blue in South Africa.
