ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) Distribution has lined up a second European adaptation for its dating reality format Finding Prince Charming.

A Dutch version has been commissioned by RTL as an exclusive series for its online platform Videoland. The gay reality dating show will feature 29-year-old Marvin Wijnans as the singleton looking for love.

Locally titled Prince Charming, the 7×1-hour episodes were recently filmed on the Italian island of Sicily. Together with a special reunion episode featuring the cast of the show, the series will debut on Videoland on December 16.

This marks the second adaptation of the competitive reality series, which had a German version launch last year and aired its second season this fall on RTL’s TVNOW.

The gay reality competition format involves 13 potential suitors attempting to steal the heart of a charming bachelor. Each week, contestants are eliminated during a black-tie ceremony until only the winner remains.

Laura Burrell, VP of international formats at VIS, said: “The growing international interest in Finding Prince Charming is proof that audiences are ready to embrace LGBT-led entertainment programming in all its forms. Love is a universal equalizer and we cannot wait to share the Dutch Prince’s quest for true love with Videoland’s subscribers.”
