Eureka Productions has tapped David Tibballs as its new executive VP of programming and development.

Tibballs takes up the new position with immediate effect. As executive VP of programming and development, he will primarily focus on Eureka’s current U.S. programming and lead the expansion of the company’s development slate for U.S. networks and platforms.

Tibballs will report to Eureka’s co-CEOs, Chris Culvenor and Paul Franklin, working closely with senior VP of production and post-production Jeanne Petrone-Arzubiaga.

Previously, Tibballs served as executive producer and showrunner on multiple Eureka shows, including The Mole and Twentysomethings for Netflix and The Parent Test for ABC, along with Farmer Wants A Wife for FOX. Eureka’s upcoming shows include second seasons of The Mole and Farmer Wants a Wife, as well as all-new series The Floor for FOX, and more to be announced soon.

More credits from the executive include The Day I Picked My Parents, Dragons’ Den, Billion Dollar Buyer, Restaurant Startup, Listing Impossible, Stylish, Utopia and I Wanna Marry Harry, among others.

“David is a world-class producer and showrunner who has led the production of some of Eureka’s most successful series,” said Franklin. “As our output continues to expand in the U.S., it is important for us to have someone with David’s experience and leadership to oversee our cross-platform production slate, while ensuring we continue to grow our pipeline of new shows in development.”

“With a growing lineup of new and returning shows for major networks and global streamers, Eureka’s U.S. slate is as strong as ever,” said Tibballs. “I am excited to build on this success with the Eureka team and ensure we continue to produce to the highest standard for our partners, while developing standout new shows that audiences will love.”
