China’s Got Talent Renewed

China’s Got Talent has been greenlit for a seventh season, to be produced by Shanghai Canxing Culture and Media.

The Got Talent format was created by Simon Cowell and is co-owned by SYCO Entertainment and Fremantle.

Ganesh Rajaram, Fremantle’s general manager and executive VP for sales in Asia, said: “We are thrilled to be announcing the return of China’s Got Talent for a seventh season. The renewal is testament to the strength of the Got Talent brand in the region and its ability to entertain audiences across China.”

Iris Xia, deputy general manager of Star China Media, said: “China’s Got Talent is renowned for discovering new and incredible local talent. We are delighted to be a partner in bringing back this hugely successful talent show to Chinese audiences.”
