Channel 4 Orders Crime Scene Cleaners

Crackit TV is producing the new ten-part series Crime Scene Cleaners, which follows crime scene cleaning companies in the U.K. and U.S., for Channel 4.

The show follows the professionally accredited cleaners who are the last to enter the crime scene and the first to hand the locations back to the public. Crackit’s cameras will explore the crimes that have been perpetrated—from the fall-out of the case, the cleaning techniques used by these specialist crews, the crimes behind the mess and the transformations undertaken—featuring criminal psychologists, police officers and forensic specialists who unpack the crime and analyze the scene.

All3Media International is the international partner for Crime Scene Cleaners.

Rita Daniels, commissioning editor for documentaries and factual entertainment at Channel 4, said: “Crime Scene Cleaners pulls back the curtain on the vital work of these unsung heroes. It’s not just about cleaning up—it’s about helping people rebuild after trauma. We’re excited to bring this unique and compelling series to Channel 4, showcasing the incredible dedication and expertise of these professionals.”

Elaine Hackett, CEO of Crackit TV, said: “This series offers rare access into the extraordinary lives of professional crime scene cleaners, who encounter people’s worst nightmares on a daily basis. We’re thrilled to be following these experts through dangerous and difficult situations and getting to know the incredible characters behind the hazmat suits.”
