TEL AVIV: Swiss pubcaster RTS has commissioned a local adaptation of Armoza Formats’s game show Who’s Asking?

Production has begun on a first season of the format, which will be known by the local title C’est Ma Question. It is slated to begin airing daily in the second half of this year. The Swiss adaptation will feature a set that will be available for use as an international hub, as well as an interactive play-along app for viewers that will be offered to other broadcasters that adapt the format.

Who’s Asking?, which is produced by United Studios of Israel, sees two pairs of contestants go with their gut instincts to help them select an “asker” from a group of faces on a screen in front of them, choosing from individuals such as their own doctor, a bus driver or even a streetwise grandmother. The show isn’t just about the questions the participants have to answer, it’s also about who is posing those questions. Who’s Asking? has aired in Israel, India, Thailand and Estonia.

Avi Armoza, the CEO of Armoza Formats, said, “We’re thrilled that Who’s Asking? will soon be airing in Switzerland and to see its continued international growth. Who’s Asking? provides an entertaining experience for viewers as they not only test their gut instincts but also answer the questions along the way, and with the interactive app will be able to submit their own questions too.”

Thierry Ventouras, the head of entertainment at RTS, commented, “We look forward to collaborating with Armoza Formats and to becoming the first ones in Europe to develop and adapt Who’s Asking? With this strong and interactive content, we are clearly positioning RTS on the international market as standing at the forefront of innovation in TV entertainment.”
