TEL AVIV: Armoza Formats has locked in deals for the format Marry Me Now in Germany with ProSiebenSat.1 Group and in Italy with Endemol Shine.

The format made its official debut at NATPE in January. The original concept was pitched at the Armoza-run format competition Formagination by Israeli comedienne and first-time format creator Odelia Yakir. The show was taken on to be developed and produced by Armoza Formats, partnering with Zipi Rozenblum on the production.

Each episode of Marry Me Now follows a woman who has been waiting for her partner to propose as she takes things into her own hands. The determined bride-to-be will plan the wedding without the groom’s knowledge. She will then surprise her partner with an ambush proposal. The couple will either marry on the spot or call it quits.

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, said, “We are thrilled with the strong international response we have been receiving to Marry Me Now since we launched it a couple of weeks ago. Its dramatic and empowering take on the most traditional moment of couples’ lives makes for powerful viewing, and we are looking forward to progressing the show together with our partners in these important territories.”
