SINGAPORE: Bomanbridge Media has inked a renewal deal for a second season of the popular format DNA with Zee Tamil, a regional general-entertainment channel in South India.

Zee Tamil will produce another 26 episodes of DNA in the Tamil language. The show looks on as ten fathers and mothers and ten sons and daughters appear on different sides of the studio. A contestant standing in the middle tries to match the parents and children together for a prize.

DNA has also been produced in Spain, Italy and Indonesia. It is currently one of the top-rated game shows on India's ETV.

Sonia Fleck, the CEO of Bomanbridge Media, commented: "Bomanbridge is thrilled to announce the renewal of this great family format in India with Zee, through our Indian office headed by Arpit Agarwal. We are making great strides in the Indian territory in the format arena. We are sure DNA will continue to do well for Zee. Bomanbridge represents a stellar catalogue of formats from around the world and Asia is hot for the genre."

"Zee Tamil is a great partner for us with this format as they have a strong family audience and DNA is one of the best shows to get families to interact in a playful competitive spirit," added Arpit Agarwal, the director of sales at Bomanbridge's India office. "Bomanbridge looks forward to working closely with Zee Tamil to oversee the production."
