Allison Wallach has been named executive VP, head of FOX Alternative Entertainment (FAE), responsible for identifying, developing and producing unscripted programming both for the FOX network and third-party platforms.

Based in Los Angeles, Wallach will be reporting directly to Rob Wade, president of alternative entertainment and specials at FOX Entertainment. In the role, Wallach also will oversee the studio’s growth, as it builds its internal organization and seeks out new talent and producers to expand its pipeline and portfolio in the unscripted arena, both at home and abroad.

When the studio formed at FOX Entertainment in 2019, production of The Masked Singer was brought in house. In addition to The Masked Singer, FOX Alternative Entertainment will produce The Masked Dancer and co-produce Ultimate Tag.

Prior to joining FOX Entertainment, Wallach was president of Jupiter Entertainment. From 2010 to 2015, Wallach was an agent in United Talent Agency’s alternative television department. Previously, she was senior VP of programming at (what was then) BBC Worldwide Productions from 2008 to 2010. Prior to BBC, Wallach was VP of programming at Lifetime Television.

“From development to production to the agency side, Allison has worked in every facet of television and has a remarkable understanding of the business,” said Wade. “As FAE begins to grow, her knowledge and experience will help build and add value to this studio and take us to the next level.”

“I’m thrilled to be working with Rob, Charlie and everyone on FOX’s Alternative team,” said Wallach. “The content business is evolving rapidly with so much opportunity in this space. It’s amazing to have this kind of support and incredible foundation from which to build out a studio, and especially during this really exciting time at FOX Entertainment.”
