A+E Networks Global Content Sales has landed a raft of deals from its growing formats slate, including Channel 4 signing up for a local adaptation of Alone.

A self-shot survival competition series, Alone was picked up by Channel 4 for a brand-new iteration of the format to be produced by The Garden. The six-part series will see ten contestants dropped into the remote Canadian wilderness, equipped with only a handful of basic tools. Each must survive the harsh elements alone.

Additionally, A+E Networks is working with RaiPlay and Yam112003 to bring the first non-English-language version of The Rap Game to Italy early in 2023. The talent competition format features aspiring MCs given the opportunity to perform epic MC showdowns in front of industry-leading rap stars who serve as their mentors.

Forged in Fire, where world-class bladesmiths re-create historical weapons in a cutthroat competition, has been renewed for a fifth season in Latin America. Top Dog has landed a second season on RTL in Germany.

“A+E Networks is proud to come to MIPCOM with a catalog boasting compelling, universally resonant formats that tap into the zeitgeist of the moment and have already found repeat success with audiences all around the world,” said A+E Networks’ senior VP, head of sales for the Americas and formats, Ellen Lovejoy. “These latest commissions from such exceptional, innovative producers and broadcasters prove that A+E’s slate of formats sets us apart from what’s currently out there, and we’re very much looking forward to introducing them to our treasured partners.”
