Istanbul-based Acun Medya Global has tapped Talpa Global and ITV Studios alum Isabelle Blog-Azoulay as executive VP of global sales and IP acquisitions.

Azoulay, who will remain in the Netherlands, will look to grow Acun Medya Global’s formats footprint and will source scripted and non-scripted formats for multiple markets. She will also oversee distribution strategies and activities.

Azoulay brings over 15 years of experience to the role. Her international distribution experience includes time at ITV Studios (U.K.), Propagate Content (U.S.), TF1 (France), Robin&Co (France) and Talpa Global (the Netherlands), where she was responsible for licensing formats such as The Voice (Talpa/ITV), Love Island (ITV), Next Level Chef (Fox), Come Dine with Me (ITV) and scripted series such as Kaamelott (Robin&Co) and Camera Café (Robin&Co). Most recently, she was executive VP and head of formats at Propagate Content.

“Our long years of experience collaborating with Isabelle in her previous roles convinced us she would be a great asset to help us achieve our immense ambitions, as we have a shared vision for our business,” said Ebru Atasav, group CEO of Acun Medya Global, to whom Azoulay will report.

“We trust Isabelle’s global format expertise will help us achieve our vision to reach more audiences with the world’s most creative ideas,” added Acun Ilıcalı, founder and owner.

Azoulay said, “I am deeply grateful to join the talented Acun Medya family. They are business-savvy forward-thinkers who created and still fully control one of the last major independent media groups in the world, bringing innovative and brilliant content praised by audiences everywhere.”
