Stan is slated to premiere the brand-new original dating series Love Triangle, from the creative minds behind the Australian version of Married at First Sight, on October 6.

Love Triangle challenges a group of singles to relinquish what they think their perfect partner should look like and get to know their potential matches only through texting and calling. Their faces will be revealed when they go on their first date.

The series come from Endemol Shine Australia Director of Content Tara McWilliams (Married At First Sight), Executive Producer Keely Sonntag (MasterChef Australia, Australian Survivor) and 9Network Executive Producer John Walsh (Married at First Sight, The Voice). It is produced by Endemol Shine Australia in conjunction with 9Network.

Cailah Scobie, chief content officer of Stan, said: “Love Triangle represents a thrilling new step for Stan as we continue to ramp up our Stan originals output, leveraging the proven pedigree of the 9Network and the extraordinary makers of Married at First Sight to deliver a sensational new dating format. This is going to be an unmissable reality television event.”

Peter Newman, CEO of Endemol Shine Australia, said: “We are incredibly proud to produce the addictive new relationship series Love Triangle for Stan. Tackling the difficulties of modern dating, the series features incredible characters on the journey to find long-lasting love but with a mind-blowing mid-season twist. All we can say is, remember that a triangle has three sides!”

Banijay’s global head of content development, James Townley, added: “Love Triangle is the epitome of what Banijay stands for—original, striking and innovative entertainment. In Endemol Shine Australia, we have best-in-class creatives who can not only turn the world’s gaze with their interpretations of Big Brother, MasterChef and LEGO Masters but that also have the artistic wizardry to conjure up their own hits of tomorrow. Relationship shows have been at the forefront of buyer agendas for some time but in this format, not only do we have the prescribed traits we know audiences want, but in the dramatic twist, the originality broadcasters and streamers are crying out for on their slates.”
