Endemol Shine Australia has been commissioned by 9Network to produce two new series, including Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, an adaptation of the chef’s latest format.

Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars sees Ramsay and business mogul Janine Allis go on the hunt for Australia’s most exciting and innovating new food ideas, searching for the next star to mentor and invest in. It will air on 9Network in 2023.

The Australian version is produced by Endemol Shine Australia and Studio Ramsay Global, based on the format distributed by All3Media International that is already broadcasting in the U.K. and the U.S.

9Network also commissioned the adventure reality format The Summit, which is set to hit screens after investment from Banijay’s Creative Fund. In the series, a group of strangers begin with backpacks containing an equal share of $1 million. They must reach the peak of a distant mountain in just 14 days to win the cash they’re carrying. If members of the group fall behind, they must decide whether to slow down and risk not reaching the mountain in time or cut them loose and press ahead. It is produced by Endemol Shine Australia.

From Screentime, a Banijay company, 9Network ordered Warnie, a scripted tribute to Shane Warne, a famous Aussie cricketer. Banijay Rights is handling international distribution for the two-parter, which will debut in 2023.
