TV 2 Denmark Adapting 100 Knives

100 Knives has gotten its first international deal, with Metronome to adapt the show for TV 2 Denmark.

Co-developed with Bunim/Murray Productions, part of Banijay Americas, and Smart Dog Media, 100 Knives throws 100 chefs into a high-stakes arena where teamwork, speed and precision determine who survives.

100 Knives is a high-intensity format that pushes contestants to deliver at an exceptional level,” said Tina Christensen, managing director at Metronome. “Its scope, energy and emotional drive set it apart, while the caliber of talent brings genuine culinary excellence to every challenge. Delivering the first international version has been a major creative opportunity, and collaborating with colleagues at Mastiff Sweden has allowed us to retain the format’s ambition while shaping it for TV 2’s audiences.”

“With its huge cast, fierce eliminations, wild twists and emphasis on teamwork, 100 Knives brings together the best elements of reality television,” said Thomas Richardt Strøbech, channel controller at TV 2 Denmark. “The contestants’ passion for their craft is unmistakable as they make fast, pressure-cooker decisions with absolute precision. Viewers will quickly find their favorites to champion throughout, driving incredibly gripping television from the very first episode.”

“The swift international uptake of 100 Knives reflects the growing demand for premium, emotionally driven formats that deliver scale and ambition,” said James Townley, chief content officer of development at Banijay Entertainment. “This adaptation showcases the strength of our creative network at Banijay Entertainment, with cross-territory teams collaborating on the initial development, through to production in Sweden and now Denmark. It’s an excellent example of how partnerships fuel global hits.”
