Doctor Foster, Ghosts Headed for Greek Treatments

BBC Studios Global Entertainment has signed two scripted format deals that will bring local versions of the drama Doctor Foster and the comedy series Ghosts in Greece.

The Greek adaptation of Doctor Foster, titled Paihnidia Ekdikisis (Revenge Games), will star Marilita Lambropoulou in the lead role and Nikos Kouris as her husband. Produced by ANT1 TV and Silverline Media Productions, the 80×60-minute series has drawn further inspiration from the Turkish adaptation of the format by Medyapım, A Woman Scorned, and will be written by Yiannis Skaragkas and directed by Alekos Kiranis. The series is due to air on ANT1 TV and SVOD ANT1+ in spring 2025.

The Greek adaptation of Ghosts will mark the fifth international license of the format. Comedy writer Theodore Petropoulos is on board for the adaptation, which is being produced locally by Tanweer Productions. The series will begin shooting this winter and is due to broadcast on Star Channel in fall 2025.
