The Canadian treatment of Old Enough!, co-produced by TVO and Blue Ant Studios and based on the Japanese format from Nippon TV, has been renewed.

Old Enough! will be back for another season with six new 30-minute episodes. The new installment will premiere on TVO across Canada in 2025.

Building on the success of its first season, Old Enough! returns with a fresh cast of children aged 3 to 5.

Old Enough! is a heartwarming and hilarious series that sparks engaging conversations around independence and parenting for families,” said Matthew Hornburg, co-president of Blue Ant Studios. “By blending fun with a thoughtful social experiment, Old Enough! encourages audiences to reflect on what it means to be ‘old enough. We’re thrilled to announce the Season 2 greenlight of this title at MIPCOM today, where season one is currently available to buyers, offering a unique opportunity to share this delightful English-speaking format with audiences across the globe.”

“Our audiences have already fallen in love with the kids from season one, and we are truly excited to be working with Blue Ant Studios again to bring even more of these stories to life for our viewers,” says Natasha Negrea, head of programming at TVO. “Through warmth and laughter, this show is inspiring our viewers to live vicariously through the little ones on screen and discover what it feels like to be ‘old enough’ in today’s world. But in true TVO form, Old Enough! not only entertains but also adds to the ongoing public conversations around the importance of providing children with opportunities to thrive on their own.”

“We are truly excited to announce the return of Old Enough! Canada at MIPCOM, when season one is still successfully broadcasting on TVO,” said Akane Alex Inoue, global format licensing at Nippon TV. “The creative teams at Blue Ant Studios and Nippon TV have strengthened their collaboration and are confident that season two will be even more wholesome yet creative. We hope this continuing season reinforces Old Enough!’s universal message about parenting and children, paving the way for more international adaptations.”
