TVFI Represents Record Number of French Companies at DISCOP

PARIS, June 18: At DISCOP this week, TV France International
(TVFI) will host a record number of French companies—a total of
28—at its umbrella stand at the Sofitel Atrium Hotel in Budapest.

This is the
largest number of participants that have been represented at the TV France
International umbrella stand since it was first organized 13 years ago. Among
the companies attending for the first time is Ampersand. The company has
revamped its Docstar catalogue, which has enabled it to offer a much greater
number of programs to regional channels that still buy programs in packages.
Calt International hopes to extend sales to new territories at DISCOP for
programs such as Caméra Café, which already airs in Poland, the Ukraine, and Russia. The concept has
also been sold to the Czech Republic. Another Calt show, Kaamelott, was recently acquired by Poland.
Upside Télévision is hoping to attract broadcasters in the region with programs
such as 6 Milliards d’autres, by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, and Intervilles Junior. Upside is currently negotiating with
Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Turkey for the next edition of Intercities, which will take place in France in
September.

Other
companies participating under TV France International’s umbrella are: 2001
Audiovisuel, 10 Francs, AB International Distribution, Alphanim, Arte, Canal
France International, Carrere Group DA, Dreamachine, Doc&Co, Europe Images
