ZDFE Licenses The Bridge to Israel’s KAN

ZDF Enterprises has sold the Nordic crime drama The Bridge to Israel’s public broadcaster KAN.

The Bridge, created and written by Hans Rosenfeldt, is produced by Filmlance in Sweden and Nimbus Film in Denmark, in co-production with ZDF, DR, SVT and ZDF Enterprises, which is also the global distributor for the series. The series stars Swedish actress Sofia Helin as Saga Norén, Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve) and Thure Lindhardt.

Worldwide sales for The Bridge so far include the BBC, Amazon, Antena TV, Arrow Films, AXN Spain, Bontonfilm, Canal+, Czech TV, DirecTV, Estonia Public Broadcasting, Fox Cable Network, Fox International, Globosat, Google, Hotvision, HRT, Hulu, Ivi.ru, Joyn, LTV, MHz Networks, Netflix, PopTV, RSI, RTS, SBS, Sky Italy and Germany, Studiocanal, Telekom Germany, TFC, TG4, TRT, Chérie 25, Arte France, Azerbaijan Public Channel and others.

The Bridge has been remade five times across the U.K./France, U.S./Mexico, Estonia/Russia, Malaysia/Singapore and Germany/Austria.

The series is scheduled to air starting January 23, 2021.”
