Wattpad WEBTOON Studios Teams with GMA-7

Wattpad WEBTOON Studios and Filipino television network GMA-7 have partnered to adapt popular Wattpad webnovels as TV series.

The first, set to premiere on October 3, is Luv Is: Caught in His Arms, based on the webnovel Caught in His Arms from Ventre Canard. Allen Ansay and Sofia Pablo star in the lead roles.

Caught in His Arms, which has more than 55 million reads on Wattpad, follows heiress Florence Almero after she flees her privileged and wealthy lifestyle after being forced into an arranged marriage by her father. She finds refuge in the home of a close family friend and, over time, falls in love with one of his grandsons. When she is finally settling into her new life, she learns the truth about her mother’s death.

Additional cast members are Vince Maristela, Raheel Bhyria, Michael Sager, Sean Lucas, Caitlyn Stave, Cheska Fausto and Tanya Ramos.
