Walter Presents Picks Up Pair of Brazilian Series

Walter Presents has licensed a pair of series from Globo, Merciless and The Hunter, which are now available on the VOD platform in the U.K. and U.S.

Written by Glória Perez (India, a Love Story and The Clone), Merciless centers on Edu, a handsome, smart and articulate psychopath who uses his charm to hide his dark side. Responsible for a series of murders that baffle the police, Edu intrigues the emotionally unstable Ray, who falls in love with the young man and doesn’t even notice his other side. Merciless stars Bruno Gagliasso (Rising Sun) as Edu and Débora Falabella (Brazil Avenue) as Ray.

The Hunter is a 13-episode series that tells the story of André, a cop who is wrongfully imprisoned. When he gets out of jail, he is driven by a single goal: tracking leads to prove his innocence. He starts working as a bounty hunter, and his relentless search for the truth in the criminal underworld begins. The series stars Cauã Reymond (Above Justice and Brazil Avenue).

The Brazilian series are available on the platform in the Portuguese language with subtitles in English.
