Walter Presents Inks Three-Series Deal with Pixcom

The foreign-language VOD drama platform Walter Presents has expanded its catalog with the acquisition of three French-language series from Quebec-based Pixcom.

The Wall—Cover Your Tracks and Le Monstre will be available to stream in the U.S. on the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel, Comcast Xfinity X1 and Roku. Beyond Appearances, meanwhile, is now available to stream on All 4 in the U.K. and coming to TVNZ in New Zealand later this year.

The Wall—Cover Your Tracks is a crime drama set in Canada’s far North that follows Céline Trudeau as she investigates a strange murder that took place in a remote and isolated mining town.

Inspired by Ingrid Falaise’s best-selling book, Le Monstre tells a true story of abuse and survival, centering on Sophie, who falls in love with a young man with a captivating charisma but whose dream of a fairytale life turns upside down.

Beyond Appearances is an adaptation of Pixcom’s scripted format Appearances. In the family mystery drama, everything connects and separates the Bérubé twins Alexandra, a well-known actress who left the small town where she grew up to make a living in Paris, and Manon, a teacher at the elementary school she attended as a child. When the whole family comes together to celebrate the twins’ 40th birthday, Manon has vanished into the night.

Walter Iuzzolino, co-founder and curator of Walter Presents, said: “I am excited to be bringing not one but three fantastic French series from Pixcom to our platform in multiple territories. With audience’s ever-growing appetite for French-language drama, these three series, each unique in their themes, are the perfect additions to our award-winning slate.”

Nicola Merola, president of Pixcom, added: “It is our main goal at Pixcom to create series that hit the heart of Quebec viewers while always having in mind the global audiences. We are deeply honored to have three series from our slate available on Walter Presents’ platform.”

Ginette Viens, VP of international productions, added: “Thanks to Walter Presents, we can share with the world what Quebec creative talents are doing.”
