Video Interview with Conviction’s Hayley Atwell

NEW YORK: TV Drama’s Anna Carugati sat down with Hayley Atwell, star of Conviction, to discuss the legal drama series, the character she portrays and the themes and relationships explored in the first season.

Conviction recently premiered as part of ABC’s fall schedule. The series stars Atwell, who was known to fans as Peggy Carter from the Marvel Comics universe, a character that was at the center of her own ABC series, Agent Carter.

Produced by The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studios, Conviction tells the story of Hayes Morrison (Atwell), the brilliant but rebellious daughter of a former U.S. president, who is blackmailed into taking a job as the head of New York City’s newly created Conviction Integrity Unit. Hayes soon discovers that she enjoys digging for the truth at the heart of these mysteries, as well as beating a broken system. Entertainment One has sold the procedural into a slew of international markets, including the U.K., France and Latin America.
