Vicky McClure to Star in Paramount+ U.K. Original Insomnia

Vicky McClure (Line of Duty, Trigger Point, This Is England) is leading the cast and serving as executive producer on the drama Insomnia, a Paramount+ U.K. original.

An adaptation of the novel of the same name by Sarah Pinborough, Insomnia will see McClure starring as Emma Averill, a successful career woman who fears she might be losing her mind when her hard-won dream life starts to turn into a nightmare.

Tom Cullen (The Gold) will play Emma’s loving husband, Robert, while Smylie Bradwell (Wisting) and India Fowler (The Nevers) play their children. Leanne Best (Bolan’s Shoes) joins the cast as Emma’s estranged sister, with Corinna Marlowe (Hysteria) as Emma’s mother.

Also joining the ensemble cast are Dominic Tighe (Suspicion), Jade Harrison (Wedding Season), Lyndsey Marshal (Inside Man), Robert Gilbert (Killing Eve) and Michelle Bonnard (Unforgotten).

The six-part series is produced by Left Bank Pictures in association with Build Your Own Films and is distributed by Sony Pictures Television.
