The Swedish-language drama The Street Where I Live is slated to make its exclusive U.S. debut on Viaplay on April 3.

The six-part series centers on shop owner Nina, a single woman who lives with her two teenage children on an idyllic residential street. When her husband passed away four years earlier, her neighbors were her greatest support. After meeting and falling in love with a carpenter, their love affair proves to affect not just her but her family and all of her neighbors as well.

Swedish musical artist and current singer of Roxette Lena Philipsson stars in the lead role and is joined in the cast by Ilkka Villi (Bordertown, Invisible Heroes), Claudia Galli Concha (Suedi, Förrädarna), Leif Andrée (Daybreak, Lasermannen), Joel Spira (Shame on Dry Land), Kajsa Ernst (Darkness: Those Who Kill, Dalecarlians), Tom Ljungman (Patrik, Age 1.5), Lukas Wetterberg (Clark, Beartown), Jimmy Lindström (Codename: Annika), Maria Alm Norell (Out Stealing Horses) and Ella Fogelström (Helt Perfekt).

Produced by Viaplay Studios, the series is based on Philipsson’s Swedish song of the same name. It is directed by Lena Koppel (Bombay Dreams, The Importance of Tying Your Own Shoes) and produced by Cecilia Norman Mardell, with Helena Larand as executive producer for Viaplay. The writer and creator is Viaplay Studios’ Mikael Newihl (Max Anger—With One Eye Open).
