Video Interview: Turbine Studios Founders

Established in 2020 by Andrew Eaton, Tracey Scoffield, Justin Thomson and David Tanner, Turbine Studios has already made a name for itself as a dynamic and entrepreneurial U.K. scripted production venture. Its roster of hits includes Munich: The Edge of War, Small Axe and Uprising, having partnered with Oscar- and BAFTA-winning writer/director Steve McQueen on the latter two. Turbine’s string of successes caught the attention of BBC Studios, which invested in the scripted indie producer late last year.

Co-founders Eaton, Scoffield, Thomson and Tanner sat down with TV Drama Weekly for a wide-ranging video interview to discuss everything from the BBC Studios investment to partnering with top-tier talent, financing models and the types of scripted drama projects they want to bring to the screen.
