The People v. O.J. Producer Taps Head of TV

LOS ANGELES: Color Force has appointed Nellie Reed to the post of senior VP of television.

Reed joins Color Force in the wake of its first foray into television, which was the FX limited series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Color Force recently scored an exclusive overall television production deal with FX Productions, in addition to a first-look deal with the studio, to develop properties for all TV services and platforms.

Reed most recently ran the TV department of Channing Tatum, Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan’s Free Association. Prior to joining Free Association, Reed was head of development for David Goyer’s Phantom Four Films, where she oversaw both TV and film.

“We first met Nellie and were wowed by her when she was working with David Goyer,” said Color Force Founders Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson. “We have always been impressed by her ideas and talent relationships and we are thrilled to make her a cornerstone of our expanding television business.”
