The Good Wife Being Remade in Korea

LOS ANGELES: tvN has commissioned a local version of The Good Wife, marking the first time a U.S. series is being remade in Korea.

The Good Wife Korea will star Do-Yeon Jeon, Ji-Tae Yoo, Kye-Sang Yoon, Seo-Hyung Kim, Na-Na and Tae-Woo Kim. The local iteration will be produced by director Jung-Hyo Lee (I Need Romance, Heartless City) and written by Sang-Woon Han (Spy).

The legal drama centers on the complicated relationships among Tae-Joon Lee (played by Yoo), Hye-Kyung Kim (played Jeon) and Joong-Won Seo (played by Yoon), spurred by scandals and corruption.

The Good Wife is currently in its seventh season on CBS. The format was licensed by CBS Studios International.
