The A Word Remake in Development at NBC

NBC has put into development The A Word, based on the Israeli series Yellow Peppers about a family’s emotional journey after their young son is diagnosed with autism.

Showrunner Arika Mittman (Paradise Lost, Timeless) will also executive produce the U.S. adaptation, alongside Peter Traugott, Avi Nir, Alon Shtruzman, Karni Ziv and Keren Margalit. Universal Television is producing the series for NBC along with Keshet Studios.

Distributed internationally by Keshet International, the format of The A Word has already been adapted in the U.K. for BBC One, Greece for Alpha TV and the Netherlands for NPO by Fiction Valley.
