Super Channel has slated the Canadian broadcast premiere of the original conspiracy thriller series Acceptable Risk, a Canada-Ireland co-production.

The six-part drama, which is a Super Channel original series, will debut on Thursday, November 9, at 9 p.m. and will also be available on Super Channel On Demand the day following its weekly linear broadcast. Acceptable Risk tells the story of Sarah Manning, who realizes that she knows nothing about her husband’s past after he is murdered while on a business trip to Montreal.

Acceptable Risk was produced for Irish broadcaster RTÉ by Siobhán Bourke and Kathryn Lennon of Saffron Pictures (Whistleblower) and James Mitchell of Soho Moon Pictures (Croupier), with funding from the Broadcast Authority of Ireland. The series is being co-financed by international distributor DCD Rights and U.S. partner Acorn Media Enterprises. The Canadian producer is Facet4 Media’s Stephen Greenberg, with Anna-Sue Greenberg and Jamie D. Greenberg serving as executive producers. Acceptable Risk is being distributed in Canada by Incendo Media. The series was shot in Dublin and Montreal.

“We are excited to be partnering with Facet4 Media to bring Acceptable Risk to our viewers as a Super Channel original series,” said Melissa Kajpust, the director of programming, international distributors and Canadian presales. “It has all the elements of a top-notch international thriller and we are certain our subscribers are going to find it very compelling.”

“Facet4 Media is delighted to partner with Super Channel on Acceptable Risk,” said Stephen Greenberg, the president of Facet4 Media. “We look forward to working together on many exciting projects in the near future.”
