Suits Spin-Off, Grosse Pointe Garden Society Ordered to Series at NBC

NBC has given series orders for the Suits spin-off Suits: L.A., led by Stephen Amell, and Grosse Pointe Garden Society.

In Suits L.A., Amell will star as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who reinvents himself in Los Angeles. When his firm reaches a crisis point, he must embrace a role he has hated his entire career.

Black is surrounded by characters who test their loyalties to him and each other as they mix their personal and professional lives.

The cast will also feature Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg and Troy Winbush.

Suits creator Aaron Korsh is helming the spin-off and executive producing alongside David Bartis, Doug Liman and Gene Klein. UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio behind the series. Hypnotic is producing.

NBC also ordered Grosse Pointe Garden Society, in which four members of a suburban garden club get caught up in murder and mischief, to series. The series will star Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb, Ben Rappaport, Matthew Davis, Alexander Hodge, Aja Naomi King, Nancy Travis and Felix Avitia.

Produced by Minnesota Logging Co., the series is written by Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs and directed by Maggie Kiley. Bans, Krebs and Kiley also executive produce, alongside Casey Kyber.
