Spanish-German Co-Pro Weiss & Morales Begins Filming

Filming has begun on the procedural drama Weiss & Morales, co-produced by RTVE, ZDF, Portocabo, Nadcon and ZDF Studios.

The four-part series revolves around two investigators: Spanish Civil Guard sergeant Raúl Morales, played by Miguel Ángel Silvestre, and German BKA agent Nina Weiss, portrayed by Katia Fellin. When a crime affecting the German community takes place in the Canary Islands, the two detectives find themselves forced to work together.

Fellin and Silvestre are accompanied in the cast by Juanjo Puigcorbé, Mariam Hernández, Margarita Broich, Thomas Heinze, Tania Santana, Yaiza Guimaré, Saulo Trujillo, Luifer Rodríguez and Iria Santana.

Oriol Ferrer (Entrevías, Estoy Vivo) is directing the series, which comes from a Spanish and German writing team spearheaded by Nina Hernández, Carlota Dans and Ron Markus. Executive producers include Alfonso Blanco from Portocabo (Ripa, Hierro) and Peter Nadermann from Nadcon (The Bridge, The Killing).

ZDF Studios will be handling worldwide sales outside of Spanish-speaking territories.
