Shekhar Home Lands on JioCinema August 14

Shekhar Home, a new original drama starring Kay Kay Menon, is slated to premiere on India’s JioCinema Premium on August 14.

Also starring Ranvir Shorey, Rasika Dugal and Kirti Kulhari, the six-part series, produced by BBC Studios Productions India and directed by Rohan Sippy and Srijit Mukherjee, is inspired by the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Shekhar Home is set in the Bengali town of Lonpur in the 1990s, following as Shekhar Home and Jayvrat Sahni solve mysteries across eastern India.

“Shekhar’s character took me back to the good old days,” said Menon. “I re-lived the memories of the time when social media was not even a thing. After reading the script and analyzing this role, I was drawn to the complexity of unravelling mysteries. The series isn’t just about solving crimes—it’s also about exploring human nature in all its aspects- from love and loyalty to betrayal and deceit. Playing Shekhar was a pure delight. I’m excited to bring Shekhar to all of you.”
