SF Studios Producing The Hunters Sequel Series

SF Studios is producing The Hunters, an original six-episode crime thriller series for C More and TV4.

The show is a sequel to the box-office hits The Hunters (Jägarna) and False Trail (Jägarna II), which saw Rolf Lassgård (A Man Called Ove) in the lead role as crime detective Erik Bäckström. In the new drama series, Lassgård will once again portray the righteous, troubled and relentless detective.

The Hunters will be directed by Jens Jonsson (Easy Money III: Life Deluxe) from a script by Björn Carlström (The Hunter, False Trail) and Stefan Thunberg (False Trail, Hamilton: In the Interest of the Nation). It will have an exclusive launch in 2018 on C More and TV4.

Lassgård said: “The two previous feature films and the character Erik Bäckström are very close to my heart. Erik is a very complex police officer, with a tendency to end up in conflict with himself as well as with his colleagues in the police force, even if friendship or family ties are threatened. I am really looking forward to playing him again. It will be like meeting with an old friend.”
