Second-Season Pickup for Shadowhunters

BURBANK: Freeform is bringing back the hit original saga series Shadowhunters for a second season, announced via a Facebook Live chat with the cast.

The series is currently airing on Tuesdays at 9 p.m., with the season one finale set for April 5. Based on the best-selling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, Shadowhunters centers on human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons.

Shadowhunters launched as Freeform’s number two series premiere on record in adults 18 to 49 (1.6 million) and adults 25 to 54 (1.4 million) and its number one series launch of all time in men 18 to 49 and men 25 to 54, and number three launch on record in total viewers (2.9 million).
