Sci-Fi/Fantasy Producer Vince Gerardis in Amazon Pact

Genre producer Vince Gerardis, whose credits include Game of Thrones, has entered into a first-look agreement with Amazon Studios.

The alliance gives Amazon Studios access to Gerardis’ library of IP, which includes works by sci-fi and fantasy authors such as Robert Silverberg, David Brin, Greg Bear and
Jack Vance.

“Vince has his fingertips on a ‘library of worlds,’ and I’m excited about the prospects of building multiple series with him,” said Sharon Yguado, head of scripted genre programming at Amazon Studios.

Gerardis packaged Game of Thrones and serves as co-exec producer on the hit HBO show. He will also produce the upcoming spin-off and has a raft of development projects across the U.S. landscape.

“Amazon is the perfect home for my author clients given the strong relationship between its television and book business,” said Gerardis. “With scientifically-informed imaginations shaping the future, I am excited to see Amazon’s increasing commitment to high-end genre world-building.”
