SBS Australia Scores Red Arrow Dramas

Red Arrow Studios International has licensed a package of drama series to SBS Television, including both seasons of the period crime drama Vienna Blood.

The Australian public broadcaster also shored up the rights to two seasons of the Canada/Ireland co-pro Departure, season one of Stella Blómkvist and the eight-part Dignity.

“We’re thrilled SBS has picked up this curated selection of premium drama series, which each have a track record of international success,” said Tim Gerhartz, senior VP of global sales at Red Arrow Studios International. “From the high-octane thriller Departure, to the gripping storylines of Vienna Blood and the captivating and original non-English-language dramas Stella Blómkvist and Dignity, we’re confident this array of titles will be thoroughly enjoyed by SBS’s audience.”

Peter Andrews, SBS’s head of programming, added, “SBS is known for its unique ability to handpick and curate the best programs from around the world for Australian audiences to enjoy. We’re excited to be bringing this collection of compelling stories showcasing some of the most distinctive drama productions from around the world, to local audiences.”
