Rupert Grint to Star in Snatch Series

CULVER CITY: Rupert Grint, best known for his role as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film franchise, has been cast in the Crackle drama series Snatch, based on the Guy Ritchie movie of the same name.

Grint will play Charlie Cavendish and will also serve as an executive producer. Alex De Rekoff, who scripted the pilot and serves as showrunner, also serves as executive producer. The cast also includes Dougray Scott (Fear The Walking Dead, Doctor Who) and Ed Westwick (Wicked City, Gossip Girl). Nick Renton (The Musketeers, Jericho) has signed on to direct.

The ten-episode series is slated to premiere in 2017. Production begins next week in Manchester.
