RTVE Scores New Deal on TV Movie 22 Angels

RTVE has sold the TV movie 22 Angels, set in the 18th century, to RTP in Portugal.

The movie tells the story of bringing the smallpox vaccine from Spain to America and the Philippines, successively inoculating 22 orphan children from La Coruña. Based on real events, it stars Pedro Casablanc, María Castro and Octavi Pujades.

RTP has chosen to offer “this fascinating and timely TV movie in this difficult and challenging time for all because it highlights the values ​​of the human [spirit] and shows that collaboration on a global scale is what has allowed and will allow [us] to overcome the greatest difficulties.”
