Briarpatch, a crime-anthology series starring Rosario Dawson (Gemini Division), is set to join Showcase’s lineup next month.

Based on the award-winning Ross Thomas novel of the same name, Briarpatch follows determined investigator Allegra Dill (Dawson) as she returns to her hometown to investigate the murder of her sister. In season one, Allegra’s relentless search for the killer pits her against powerful enemies as she fights for the truth in a corrupt Texas town brimming with lies.

Executive producer Sam Esmail (Mr. Robot) and writer/executive producer Andy Greenwald (Legion) deliver the crime drama, which aims to update the pulp fiction genre for a new era.

Briarpatch joins Showcase’s prime-time Sunday night lineup on February 16 at 10 p.m., following Batwoman at 8 p.m. and Supergirl at 9 p.m.
